 INTRODUCTION


Preah Vihear Province is located in the northeastern part of the Kingdom of Cambodia, located at a distance of 294 km (Km) from Phnom Penh. Minerals, natural resources and historical buildings, ancient temples. It is bordered on the north by Thailand and Laos, on the south by Kampong Thom, on the west by Siem Reap and Oddar Meanchey, on the east by Stung Treng. Preah Vihear province has a total area of ​​13,788 square kilometers, of which 30,000 hectares are arable land and 85% is forest. The province is divided into 7 districts, including 47 communes with a total of 208 villages and 2 communes. Most of the people in Preah Vihear are Khmer and about 20% of the Kuy ethnic group are engaged in farming, rubber plantations, vines, trading and fishing. Farm work is not very productive because you follow the conservative way of farming. Preah Vihear province is named after the temple of Preah Vihear. Preah Vihear Province was established in March 1964 by seizing land from Kampong Thom, Stung Treng and Siem Reap provinces. Preah Vihear province has a total population of 161,543 and a population density of 11 people per square kilometer. Tbeng Meanchey is the provincial capital of Preah Vihear Province, established in 1982 until February 25, 2009. Tbeng Meanchey was renamed Preah Vihear on May 17, 2009. The province has a river that flows through it, Stung Sen.
